The Universal Covenant

Genesis teaches that we descended from Noah. He is our universal ancestor, along with his wife Na'amah (See Genesis 4:22 and Genesis 9, with the ancient commentaries).

The covenant that God made with Noah and all the descendants of Noah and Na'amah, his wife, Mrs. Noah, is the Universal Covenant.

This covenant, also known as the First Covenant, Rainbow Covenant, or Noahide Covenant, applies to all humankind, everywhere we go.

When God declares a covenant to be eternal, "everlasting," and "perpetual," He means it. No later event, such as the appearance of a prophet or messiah, or a war or other disaster, can end it. So at least so long as human beings still have human form, this covenant with all its principles exists to teach and guide us - forever.
